Hey guys,
Nowadays, technology and science make our life easier. We are using technology in our day to day life. Most of the things we use today are example of technology. But our scientists are not stop yet, they still inventing or try to inventing new technology everyday. But this post is not about technology, then come to the main topic.
In this post, you will get to know about some satellites which were launched by NASA. Scientists of NASA have made these satellites to find if there is any life exist beyond the solar system. These satellites which are listed below have gone far away from our solar system. You may have know some of these satellites, but still read the full article, it will surely going to be knowledgeable.
Then here are some satellites which have gone far away beyond the solar system.
1. Pioneer 10
This satellite is one of the best invention by NASA. It is an american spacecraft. At first the satellite was named "pioneer f" according to the original design. Its weight was 258 kilograms. It has 2.79 meters parabolic dish high capacity antenna. It was launched on 2nd march 1972 by Atlas centaur expendable vehicle from cape carnival, Florida. It was the first spacecraft which reached to the highest distance from the earth and take 500 images of Jupiter. It was the first space spacecraft which transmitted 500 closest images of Jupiter. The spacecraft was running on Radiostope Thermoelectic Genetrators which gives the electric power. On 23rd January 2003 we lost the connection from pioneer 10 due to loss of electric power.
2. Pioneer 11
Yo can say pioneer 11 is the twin brother of pioneer 10. It is also created by NASA. Just like Pioneer 10 it has also named pioneer G but than changed to Pioneer 11. This space craft weight was just similar to pioneer 10 that is 259 killograms. The space craft was launched on 6th April 1973. This spacecraft was launched to study the asteroid belt and also observe the Enviroment of Jupitar, Saturn, solar wind and cosmic rays. It was also running on Radiostope Thermoelectic Genetrators which gives the electric power. Due to power constraints on 24th November 1995 we lost the connection with the space craft.
3. Voyager 1
This satellite was also the great invention by NASA. This spacecraft is made for a long journey but can you belive that it is still in touch with NASA after 40 years. yes the space craft is still going in its path. The spacecraft has 3.7 meter diameter parabolic dish high gain antenna facing towards the earth to receive the radio wave from the deep space. The voyager 1 was launched by NASA on 5th september 1977. The spacecraft already cover the distance of approx 13 billion miles. It was the first spacecraft which cross the Heliophase . It was also the first spacecraft which enters in the interstellar space.
4. Voyager 2
This satellite is a twin brother of voyager 1 . It was created by NASA. Just like its twin space craft voyager 1 it is also made for a long journey. The age of this satellite in space 40 years ,4 month approx and it is also still connected with the NASA space centre. It is in a mission to discover the interstellar space. It is the fourth Spacecraft which achive the escape velocity of 55000 killometer per hour. Its 3 Multihundred Watt Radiosotope Thermoelectric generator gives the power to run but it gives the power for limited time so mission is continue untill atleast 2020.
5. New Horizon
New Horizon is an interplanetary space probe that was launched as a part of NASA' s New Frontiers program. The spacecraft was launched in 2006 with the primary mission to perform a flyby study of the Pluto system in 2015, and a secondary mission to flyby and study of one or more other kuiper belt objects ( KBOs) in the decade to follow. It is the fifth of five artificial objects to achieve the escape velocity that will allow them to leave the solar system.
